This existing part of the brain is capable of re-wiring itself, so that the part of the brain that does not exist is compensated for, by the part that is!  And the result is: A fully functional brain!! BEAT THAT!!

And these people go to schools, universities, get professional jobs, and the world around them is unaware of the fact that, they are doing the same job as everybody else, with just half a brain.

One of the startling discoveries in medical science is the dumbfounding fact that the brain CAN heal itself.

There was a man who became a doctor at the age of 82, and then, worked as one for a remarkable eight years! 

This man kept training his brain through exercises (computer games) that were tailored to preserve the brain's capabilities. 

These games thoroughly prepared him to deal excellently and successfully in real life situations, to a point that, it was like he had lost no skill (except for, bizarrely, his handwriting - though this is likely due to muscular degeneration) even when he was 80.

Although you might not want a 90 year old doctor who started his training at 82, it is certainly exciting to see that an otherwise ordinary 82 year old is able to retain his abilities through repetitive and cognitively challenging computer games!
